Rogers Park Bathroom Remodeling
This handicap accessible Rogers Park bathroom was completely remodeled.  The entire room was stripped down to the framing, new moisture resistant greenboard was installed and painted.  New tile was installed on the flooring and in the shower.  A brand new sink, mirror and matching cabinet were also installed. This project provided a new challenge for 123 Remodeling because the home owner is visually impaired.  A cabinet was installed above the vanity to make it more easily accessable and a mirror was placed adjacent to it.

Vision loss in one of the main reasons for loss of independence and not being able to see in a bathroom can be dangerous.  Many bathrooms as well as kitchens, built for hearing and sight impaired people are designed around a system they have trained themselves to navigate a room safely.  Another design element to take into consideration is contrasting colors, textures, patterns, and most importantly lighting.  Adjustable lighting will provide the homeowner an added level of perception in the bathroom.
